Violet Janes is a poet from Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. Her work is rooted in real encounters, real heartbreaks, and the moments in between. For years, she tried to make sense of the men who shaped her; those she loved too deeply, those who hurt her, and those she kept going back to even when she knew better. Poetry became the place where she could finally let the past go.

When she is not writing, Violet enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and their cat.
